One of the underpinning principles of The  Live Now Die Later radio show as well as mackie's  Entertainment and Guitar-lesson-Power-Magazine-Online has always been to support and promote musical innovation, so this year we are launching the first 'Award' for the album of the year,Band of the year,artist of the year male and female award and lots more as well  based on what it brings to the music scene, how it moves yje genre forward and how innovative it is.

The albums can be from any act based in the UK or Ireland or across the whole of the  196 countries in the world that the media gones to every night. the awards are for Rock Metal and Blues and the music that the media goes around . This geographic restriction is purely for logististical reasons.

All music   being considered need to be available to buy as a full release on CD in the UK and as a digital download but for the cost of getting a recording make we do twist area's. 

For the purposes of this exercise, an album is defined as has having a minimum of 6 tracks, so EPs are ineligible.

No consideration is given to how good, or not, the artists' live performances are, nor how commercially successful the album has been up to this point.

There will be no cash prize, but there will be a award certificate sent by post that is signed and plenty of publicity, with the winner being announced in 1 Dec 2017 at midnight english time. for the uk time please go to the following website -  https://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/uk/london

The is  a lot of bands and artists etc that you can vote for but in the event of a tie we do have a judging panel is made up of music experts from a variety of backgrounds and includes musicians, music journalists and bloggers, broadcasters, music producers, historians and festival organisers.

None of the judges has any interest in the commercial success of any of the bands and artists etc being discussed. There are no record label representatives, managers, publishers or music retailers on the panel.

2017's Loud Rock and Roll are our third annual celebration of all of the greatest rock Metal and Blues albums, singles, and bands from the UK and beyond. This year sees the introduction of the New Band category, as well as the return of Album, Single, International Band Or artist , International Album and Worldwide Solo band or Artist and lots more as well that you can vote .
